FLOWERS

Flowers are a big thing around here. When a shop/business opens there are usually towers of flowers out front to announce the special time. Weddings are also a biggy here. Well, when people here get married the big thing is to cover a black car with flowers. When we first arrived we passed several flower shops and they were preparing the autos for the grand parade by scotch taping roses, zinnias, or mums to the hood, doors, roofs, and trunks of these cars, some of which were quite expensive vehicles. They have since changed and use suction cups such as you stick little things on windows in the US. It is amazing the amount of flowers that are placed on these vehicles. The aroma when you pass by these shops is also unbelievable, it reminds me of viewing the Rose Parade in person. That is probably the most flowers I have ever seen and smelled in one place at any one time. The aroma is great. Just to pass by these shops you smell the flowers and when they are making arrangements it is truly unbelievable. There are pictures posted on our picture page of some of the flowers. To the right is one to just sort of tempt you to go look at the rest.

ENJOY and imagine the smells!!!!!
