On The Road - Again

Well, as you can see, we are homeless again. The U-Haul truck is being loaded and all of our stuff is going back into storage once more. Since we didn't have all of our stuff out of storage from when we moved back, we are using the same storage location.

We have been back in Parkersburg, WV for only 16 months since our return from overseas. It's been an interesting time. Surprisingly, it has been much more difficult to put down our roots than what we initially expected. Since we can't put our finger on just one reason why, we have decided to follow a dream that we had before we retired. We will eventually purchase a fifth wheel RV and do some traveling for most of 2012.

We still have the "serving" mindset so after accompanying Matt and Cyndi to Florida to attend their appointment service and visiting Melanie in Louisiana, we will spend Oct-Dec volunteering in Richmond, VA. We are looking forward to this time. The chance to be among all of those people preparing to go overseas to fulfill the Great Commission is very special.

Sometime after visiting Melanie and John and being with them to celebrate Kyla's first birthday and Christmas, we will buy the rv and begin living in it. We plan to get used to living in it until spring and then begin a trip to Alaska sometime in late spring or early summer. When we return, we hope to spend some more time volunteering at the Navigators facilities in Colorado Springs, Co. After that, things are pretty fuzzy, but we will be somewhere doing something.
