Weather On The 8’s
If you are like most Americans, you keep up with what is happening with the weather (wx). It’s a cultural phenomenon. Well, Judy and I are no different. In fact, we often watch The Weather Channel to see how the wx might affect us during our next day’s drive/tow. I recently noticed, however, that I find myself concentrating on the wrong part of the map. Since we have moved around to so many different locations, I can end up watching the wrong location on the map to see what our wx might be for the next day. Too funny!
We are finishing our month stay here in Hermann, MO. It has been a really nice visit. It felt like, and was, a homecoming with our good friends and church family. We have “camped” in the church lot (with full hook-up) for the entire time frame. The local campground was not able to give us a reservation for the whole time that we needed, and the church graciously could/did. While here, we also got to visit our friends in the St. Louis area where we also lived. What a blessing to have so many “family” members. The month here has gone by so very fast.
Besides visiting friends, this has been a really good month for getting the truck and trailer ready for the big trip. We cleaned and coated the trailer roof, washed and waxed the trailer, had a 50 gallon fuel tank installed in the truck, and even detailed the truck. Everything looks really sharp!
We will be starting the tourist part of our trip next Tuesday ( 5 June). From here, we are going to go to Rapid City to see Mt Rushmore and
that area. From then until late August or sometime in September, we will be “on the move” to Alaska and back. We probably won’t be staying more than a week to 10 days in any one particular place. Who knows.
So, I guess that we will be keeping you informed of what’s going on with a blog update on a more frequent schedule. That’s assuming that we will have internet access.
Y’all take care and have a great summer! Dave & Judy

So fun to see pics of Hermann. So glad for y'all that you're going to AK. We love it there.

Tell everyone hi if you see them tomorrow before you leave.

Send me an e-mail sometime if you get a chance and I can reply via e-mail rather than blog comment.
