Another week is in the books
We have had an interesting 5 days though
On Thursday last, Dave started to lose hair and he could take out clumps in a comb
so after a bit of a conversation we decided to go get his head shaved. Well, Great Clips
will not shave your head but they will cut it short so... I did purchase him a nice beret like
cap to wear also. Will try and get a photo of that later.
On Monday the techs allowed me to take a photo of him in his radiation mask. It was quite a
unique experience. This is actually him in his mask If you zoom in you are able to see the markers
which they MUST have lined up properly each day.
Here is a link to a video you can watch as to what happens during the radiation treatment.
You can go there and watch if you are at all interested. It is pretty amazing what God has allowed someone to invent and then do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enOQhWZRFFwtype of treatment.
Our drive has been pretty much city morning commute driving. Tuesday one of the other radiation
patients told me another way to get the the James a, going down Hudson Avenue, and we have been doing this. In my old age I do
not enjoy the intersections of I71 with 670 and 315 in Columbus, OH at 0700. We also come out this way It has had it's advantages as I found gasoline this morning at a Speedway for 2.03 minus our 3 cent discount making it only 2.00 YIPPEE
Dave continues to do well and is tolerating the radiation and night time chemo pills well. He is a
bit tired and some days takes a one hour + nap in the early afternoon. Continued prayers for these
super results. We know the prayer works. I on the other hand am having difficultly handling the
traffic complaints and the laps of memory, change in vision that is occuring. He does not see some
things and therefore the driver get told about it. At 0645 I am not always the most gracious person
THANKS!!!
Not much else from us up here in Columbus. The weather has warmed up a bit and so we are doing
our walking inside Polaris Shopping Center on our way home in the mornibngs.
Thanks again for the continued prayers.
Dave and Judyt
