Being Hands and Feet

Well folks, it's been a very interesting 3 weeks.

We have had plenty of this white precipitation as much as 6" the one time.  It has been from -6 up to 50 in the course of 24 hours.   UGH.   But all things considered it has not been bad.  There were actually a couple of days when the entire state of WV had no school.  AMAZING.

Dave went for his treatment first of Jan. and did well afterwards, thanks again JDG.  He went on the 22nd of Jan and two of his three brothers made the trip with him.  His one brother had an eye appointment up there so 2 birds were killed with one stone so to say.  Thanks to Don and Doug for doing this.  It really gives me a break and allows others to meed the wonderful staff we work with in the Oncology Dept at the James Cancer Center. He has developed the cough which I am now deciding he will get within 24-48 hours after each treatment.  The Keytruda which he is taking can cause coughing and it affects the thyroid and that indirectly works on the respiratory system.   Otherwise, he continues to do well.  They have said we will continue this form of treatment with an infusion every 3 weeks UNTIL it stops working. How do they know that?   I guess from the CTs which they will do every other visit.  The tiredness is increasing a bit within the first hours but then it seems to start subsiding.  Thanks for all your prayers   They are working.

On Wednesday we traveled to Bridgeport, WV
and traded in our Hybrid Accord for the vehicle in this
photo  If you are able to zoom in you can get a glimpse of Dave standing there.
Not much else happening here we are trying to stay warm and well.
Thanks again for the prayers  they are appreciated and for the assistance in the transporting.
It's an experience as all who have gone have said.

Thanks again

Dave and Judy
