Happy belated Valentine's Day everyone
Dave and 2 of his 3 brothers went to Columbus yesterrday for contrast CT, appointment with the oncologist and then chemo. HOWEVER, the chemo did not happen. There was still considerable swelling and so they opted NOT to do chemo and have the tumor board meet for possibility of surgery. I received a call from the oncologist a bit ago and they are scheduling him to see the Neurosurgeon on Thursday next to set up surgery. We have tried Temador and Keytruda and they
are obviously NOT WORKING as there is still swelling happening and even with the steroid, Decadron, it is not subsiding. They need to know what exactly they're fighting in order to use the proper weapons for battle. If there is only swelling then remove it and make sure there is nothing else happening. I had noticed a few changes in the last 4-5 days but they were nothing drastically important enough for me to call and make a trip to the ER and/or up to CMH to see them when there was already a scheduled appointment for Wednesday.
Weather here has been fabulous today up in the mid 60s but we are supposed to have rain over the next week so we'll see what happens.
Thanks for your thoughts and concern for us during this ordeal. GBM is a horrible disease and there are not many facts as of yet about it. Continue praying for all of those affected with this disease. The young children are the worst cases I would think. There is so much unrest all around us. I thank God daily for his grace and goodness towards me. I pray that each of you know that peace that only HE can provide through knowing Jesus as your personal savior.
Thanks again
JUDY and DAVE
