SO on Monday there was a CT and Melanie, Kyla and I went up to visit. An appointment had been scheduled but was changed to Thursday. Here is a photo of Kyla wheeling PAPA down the hall in the rehab facility.
She had a good time doing this. Then we came back home and I went back on Thursday for the 2 appointments scheduled. One with oncology and one with a Neuro Surgeon, who we did not see.
We had a surprise visitor in oncology the gal who was our nurse during our radiation time had been thinking about us and looked up and noticed there was an appointment so she came to see him. Here is her photo She was a very special person to us.
We had a great visit with the Neuro Oncologist. He basically gave us a couple of options which I will not post right now as we are seeking direction about this. The incision of the colostomy really has him in fits and he is in considerable pain because of the open wound. The pain needs to get under control. On Tuesday we go see the belly surgeon as we have started calling him and we'll see what he has for direction. The plan is to bring him on Wednesday to Marietta, OH, just across the river from us, to a facility where he can get a bit more steady on his feet and get the pain controlled. Once this happens he will be able to come home. \
In my reading this week I have been continually sent to the scripture that states "The battle is the Lord's" We are to be in obedience to HIM and allow him to fight for us in the way in which HE chooses. Sometimes it is NOT OUR WAY. But HIS way is perfect. We much accept.
REQUESTS: + For the pain to be controlled
+ For wisdom and discernment in the decision that needs made in the next couple of weeks.
+ I have pulled/strained, hopefully not torn, a hamstring in my right leg and will see a physician about this on Monday and then go to the appt with Dave on Tuesday
+ There are 2 private rooms at the facility he will be going to and it would be really nice for him to have one of these.
THANKS is not enough for me to say. Your prayers faithful friends and family are what keep us going some days.
Dave and Judy
