One year down

Well folks.  This birthday has been a different in lots of ways.  It was one year ago that we got the information that Dave had a huge mass on the right side of his brain.  We were sent to James Cancer Center in Columbus, OH.  And waited.
The next day we had an appointment with a Neuro Surgeon and on August 2, 2017 Dr Elder performed a 3 1/2 hour craniotomy and removed a rather large Glioblastoma from his brain.  This is shortened to a GBM.  It is basically brain cancer and is terminal.  The journey started.

Thanks so very much loyal FB friends and family for the birthday wishes.  It has really helped to brighten up what could have been a drab day.  Each day is different and we never know what's ahead only GOD does.   Seeing each of you wish me a blessed day has made my day for me.   Dave is in a rehab facility across the Ohio River in Marietta, OH and will be there until the middle of August most likely  He continues to have quite a bit of pain from the colostomy and they are adjusting the steroids he has been mega dosing for 1 year now and cutting him down on the potent pain meds.
He continues t decline and is confused some days.  His peripheral vision on his left side is basically non existent and the vision in the right eye is not very good.  He still remains in sort of good spirits but I can see that declining weekly and some times daily.

We still covet ALL your prayers for strength and discernment.  There are some decisions to be made in the next weeks.  Basically we are finished with treatments and anything else so...

Thanks again for the blessing you have been to me today   God is so good all the time even when we do not deserve it, and some days I have a stinkin attitude and really don't deserve his grace but he provides anyhow.  Thanks again for your love, concern and prayers.  We love each and every one you and when I am asked how I am able to make it I try to reply I am walking on wings of prayers around the world.  That's one of the advantages of moving lots of times as we have done.

Thanks again

Judy
